The short version

We collect what you type into the quote form, and nothing else. We use it to answer you. We do not sell it, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for. There is no advertising or analytics tracking on this website.

What we collect

When you send a quote request, we receive the fields you complete: your name, your company, your country, your email address, the product, the quantity, the destination port, and your message. Our server also records the IP address the request came from, which is used to stop automated abuse of the form and for nothing else.

This website sets no cookies of its own. It carries no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels, so there is nothing here to consent to and no banner asking you to.

Every file the site needs, including its fonts, stylesheets, scripts and the graphics library behind the globe on the home page, is served from our own server. The site makes no request to any third party, so no third party sees your address or learns that you visited us.

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and to quote for the goods you asked about.
• To carry out a contract with you, if one follows.
• To keep a record of trade enquiries, which is an ordinary part of running an export business.
• To protect the form from spam and abuse.

Lawful basis for processing (UK/EU GDPR)

For buyers in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, the following lawful bases apply under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation:

• Answering your enquiry and keeping a record of it: our legitimate interest in running an export business and responding to trade enquiries.
• Quoting for goods and preparing a contract: steps you asked us to take before entering into a contract with you.
• Protecting the form from spam and abuse: our legitimate interest, and yours, in keeping the service usable.

We do not rely on consent for any of this, because the form does not ask you to give any.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for the trading relationship and for our own records. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will, unless we are required to keep it by Ethiopian law.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry goes to our export desk by email. The email passes through our hosting provider's mail server in the ordinary course of delivery. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

International transfers

Aura International Trading PLC and its servers are based outside the European Economic Area. If you send us a quote request from the UK or the EEA, your information is transferred to Ethiopia. Ethiopia does not have a UK or EU adequacy decision.

The transfer happens because it is necessary to take the pre-contract steps you asked for, namely answering your enquiry and preparing a quotation. We do not use any other transfer mechanism for this website's form at this time.

Security

This website is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are delivered to a company mailbox, not stored in a database. We do not collect any payment or financial information through this website.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you (access),
• correct anything that is wrong (rectification),
• delete your information (erasure),
• limit how we use it while a request is being sorted out (restriction),
• stop using it for a particular purpose (objection), and
• send you a copy of it in a portable format (portability).

Write to contact@aurainternationaltrading.com and we will answer within a reasonable time. If you are in the UK or the EEA and are not satisfied with our answer, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your own country.

Children

This is a business to business website. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it. If we ever begin storing enquiries in a database, or add analytics, this page will be updated in the same release, not afterwards.
